Christian Spiritual Direction is a kind of spiritual companionship where one person (spiritual director) creates hospitable space for another (directee) to notice God’s presence, voice, and activity in his or her life, and to respond to God in prayer.
Spiritual direction focuses on one’s relationship with God rather than problems that need to be fixed or wounds that need to be healed or goals that need to be accomplished. It is about listening together to the Holy Spirit rather than a directee seeking a spiritual director’s counsel or insights.

SFSTX Team of Christ-Centered Spiritual Directors
My journey of walking alongside others began more than thirty years ago within a church sponsored Al-Anon recovery program. This is the place where I caught a vision for how a grace-filled safe space can be fertile ground for the Lord to transform. I find such deep joy in seeing heart mended, images of God transformed, and lives redeemed.
When I discovered the ministry of Spiritual Direction—and the way it offers that same sacred, grace-saturated space within the church—I knew I wanted to step more fully into it.
In 2018, I completed the Selah Spiritual Direction Training program through Leadership Transformation Inc.
I’ve been married since 1981, am an adoptive mom with grown children, a grateful Grammy to Lily with a grandson on the way, and dog-mom to two beloved Havanese pups, Chloe and Cocoa. Having spent much of my life in Southern California, I now call the Dallas/Fort Worth area home.
I offer a free, 30 minute introductory session to explore together if Spiritual Direction is a good fit. If you are ready, you may find a time here.

I live in Plano, Texas with my wife, Carolann, and am the father of four grown sons. I am a graduate of the Selah spiritual direction training program and have spent many years discipling and encouraging men in their relationship with the Lord, including through CBMC.
I currently serve as a board member with the Spiritual Formation Society of Texas (SFSTX) and am the founder of the Frisco Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. I am deeply passionate about spiritual direction—creating space to listen with others for the movement of God in their lives and to discern together how He is at work.
Professionally, I serve as Vice President of a commercial HVAC and controls company in North Texas. Outside of work and ministry, I enjoy the outdoors, sports, and spending time with God, family, and friends.

It is my privilege to offer spiritual hospitality to those who desire a deeper or different relationship with God. My goal is to provide time and space where people can be heard without judgment, with the hope that they can become more aware of how God’s deep, personal, and unrelenting love is present in every aspect of their life, even when it doesn’t seem that way.
In our meetings we look to the Real Director, God the Holy Spirit, for wisdom and guidance. My background includes a 25-year former career as a psychotherapist and a variety of life experiences.
I completed a certificate program with Leadership Transformations Selah Spiritual Direction Program. Along with providing spiritual direction in-person and over Zoom, I lead contemplative prayer groups, facilitate spiritual retreats, speak, and offer career and calling coaching.

I consider it a high calling and an honor to journey with people on a one-on-one basis as well as in group spiritual direction. I have also done directed retreats and soul care events and retreats and have a particular heart for ministry leaders and their soul care.
I love to share life stories and spiritual pilgrimages with others, helping them see God within their personal journey.
My husband and I moved from Houston to San Antonio to help start a plant church where I am on staff in a Soul Care position and Elder. I have a particular heart for church leaders, pastors, spouses of pastors, the rawness and honesty of the recovery community, and have experience in the unusual area of pet loss and bereavement.
I owned a dog obedience school and have trained/shown for many years. Unfortunately, I have a history of a lot of loss and grief within that realm. God seems to place me in the lives of others as they walk through pet related hard decisions, emotions, grief, etc. regarding an area of life that we often somehow think should be minimized.
I enjoy long hikes, long, deep talks, playing in the dirt, good cups of coffee, dogs my wonderful husband and my grandchildren.

Are you a leader wondering if you need a place to notice God in your story? Do you have a place to honestly explore your points of wrestling and your faith-filled longings? I would love to invite you to experience the goodness of listening to God together.
I've discovered that Spiritual Direction helps us to experience God’s love, to release what no longer belongs, and to receive what the Lord wants to give. In addition to Direction, I am also available to offer one-on-one supervision for spiritual directors.

What do you get when you combine a teacher, a coach, a 911 dispatcher, and an event planner with the practice of spiritual direction? You get me, Rhonda Jenkins! God has offered me many varied opportunities to listen well and I'm grateful for where it led me.
These work experiences were enhanced and sustainable by receiving spiritual direction for many years and attending retreats several times a year. And my desire to offer the same to others was born. I'm grateful for the life experiences God has given me to pay closer attention to Him in the midst of my real life.
Additionally, praying the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius using The Ignatian Journey was a pivotal time in my spiritual awakening. As a result, after completing my certification as a Spiritual Director through the Transformational Listening Center, I also became certified as an Ignatian Director through Sustainable Faith's program.
Because your life is full with family, friends, work, and ministry responsibilities, you may be asking questions or wondering about your life with God in the midst of it all.
I'd be delighted to companion you on your spiritual journey to pay attention to the activity of God in your everyday life and welcome an email or phone call to schedule a complementary 30-minute get-to-know-you session.

May the peace of Christ be with you! My name is Matt Kessler. I lead a small non-profit in San Antonio, Texas dedicated to leadership formation, spiritual direction, soul care, and wilderness adventure trips. I am passionate about coming alongside and guiding people into a deeper experience of the Father’s love, identity and freedom in Christ, and fullness of life in the Holy Spirit.
Spiritual Direction is a biblical form of Christian soul care that dates back to the earliest days of the church. It is a one-on-one relationship organized around Scripture, prayer, and conversations. It is an accompanied journey of the soul with the goal of spiritual renewal, transformation in Christ, and deeper union with God. My first experience with spiritual direction came during one of the most difficult times I ever faced in ministry. Through Scripture reading, prayer, journaling, and weekly conversations with my spiritual director - the Lord met me, healed me, redeemed my pain, and breathed new life into my calling and ministry.
I was trained as a Spiritual Director through the Cenacle School of Spiritual Direction in Clearwater, Florida. As a spiritual director, it is my privilege to share all that has been so graciously invested in me to help others grow deeper in their relationship with God, self, and those around them.
I have served in ordained ministry in the local church for 30 years. I have a Master's in Divinity, and I am a certified Leadership Coach, Stephen’s Minister, Spiritual Director, Trauma Care Counselor, and Primitive Skills Survival Instructor.
I have planted and pastored two churches, helped start and lead several non-profit ministries, and I have served as a missionary bishop in the Anglican Communion since 2017.
I have been married for 26 years and have three children…and two Australian Shepherds.
You can find out more about me at www.revelo.live as well as on Instagram @revelo210 and @mattkessler210. My vocational journey began in nursing, where I earned both my BSN and MSN from the University of Missouri. Over the years, I have served in a variety of settings, including a pediatric burn unit, psychiatric care, school nursing, office gynecology, nursing leadership, and administration. These experiences taught me the value of compassionate presence, attentive listening, and caring for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.
Seeking to deepen my ability to accompany others on their spiritual journeys, I completed Spiritual Direction training at Southern Methodist University (SMU). This training broadened and enriched my ministry, equipping me to walk alongside people as they seek to recognize and respond to God's presence and activity in their lives. Through spiritual direction, retreat leadership, soul-care groups, and recovery ministries, I have had the privilege of creating spaces where individuals can experience greater awareness of God’s love, healing, and transforming grace.
I am also a co-founder of CODE YOU, a nonprofit ministry dedicated to restoring and strengthening the heart and soul of nursing. Through retreats, educational programs, and spiritual care initiatives, CODE YOU helps nurses move from burnout, compassion fatigue, and isolation toward renewed purpose, wellbeing, and connection.
Today, I bring together the wisdom gained through decades of nursing, spiritual direction, and ministry. Whether accompanying an individual, leading a retreat, or serving healthcare professionals, my passion is to create prayerful, welcoming spaces where people can encounter God more deeply, discover renewed hope, and continue growing into the person He created them to be.

I have a deep desire to see others spiritually formed through a deepening intimacy with the Trinity. For me, providing a safe place to prayerfully explore how God is leading and at work is the core of spiritual direction.
In addition to being a spiritual director, I also serve as the Director of the Spiritual Formation Society of Arizona. I also serve as an adjunct professor in Spiritual Formation at Phoenix Seminary. Having served as a pastor for over 20 years, I have a heart for pastors and ministry leaders. Knowing the unique challenges they face, I value and cherish the opportunity to walk alongside ministry leaders in direction.
I enjoy leading retreats centered around Spiritual Formation ... both "traditional" retreats that center around teaching (intro/primers for SF) and contemplative retreats that facilitate deepening intimacy with God.
I completed a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Selah (Leadership Transformations) as well as Larry Crabb's School of Spiritual Direction (New Way Ministries). My academic training includes a MDiv, STM, and DMin. My approach to SD is contemplative in style and Trinitarian in theology.
